Pupil Chaplain News

Pupil Led Worship

February 2022 – The Pupil Chaplain Team worked on a mini project called “The 5 Ws”. At St George's we aim to live by the 5W's to ensure we live our lives by the values at the roots of Christianity; they help us to aspire to be like God.

The 5W's are:   Welcome; Word; Witness; Welfare; Worship

The Chaplain Team designed posters, prepared a presentation and led a KS2 assembly on their project.

Pupil Chaplain Commissioning Service

On Thursday 21st October, our Parish Priest Fr. Julio visited St. George's for a wonderfully joyous occasion.  A special commissioning service was held for the new School Chaplaincy Team. Family members of the newly appointed chaplains attended and were proud to support their children on this spiritual journey. The newly appointed chaplains received pins to wear on their uniforms and declarations for their new role. We wish them the very best of luck in their new roles.

 St. Albans Cathedral

The Pupil Chaplains attended The God Who Speaks Scripture Festival at St Albans Cathedral. They had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and faith with a tour the magnificent cathedral and attendance at workshops on The Bible.
